I have worked in the film industry for almost 20 years in a diverse selection of areas from pre-production through to post-production. I consider myself an excellent team-player who enjoys working through challenges to achieve common goals. I began my film experience as a runner, working up to an edit assistant for the then offline Avid edit suites in Soho (MPC, PMPP). This led me onto feature films, working in the art departments on some mainstream studio productions (Sexy Beast, Intimacy). I decided to take the opportunity to study filmmaking at a Masters level, to complement my previous work in the film industry. Throughout my career I have gained excellent practical Cinematography skills and a good understanding of film theory. In recent years I have been drawn more to the technical side of filmmaking with jobs as a DIT (Mission Digital) and equipment hire specialist (Focus 24). Through servicing cameras and equipment to production units I have a sound and wide knowledge of current production pipelines and the equipment being used now.
